Please feel free to email us any questions you have about commissioning a piece of artwork. We want you to feel confident in your purchase. Our portraits are of the head and shoulders of the subject, person or pet, and are normally of a single subject. If you would like multiple subjects in the portrait then please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Step 2: Ordering your portrait
When you feel ready to order your portrait please email us a clear photo of your subject. The better the quality of the photo the more accurate we can be in recreating the features and personality of the subject. Some tips would be:-•Ensure the picture is taken in good lighting.•Make sure that you are close enough to the subject to capture the detail.•Make sure that the device you are using will capture the image in enough clarity.•If you are unsure which photo to use then we are quite happy for you to send a selection and we can decide the best one to use between us.Once we have agreed upon the photo we will let you know the time-scale to complete the work. This will be very dependent on the number of other commissions we are working on. We would estimate between 3 to 6 weeks during non-peak times. If you require the portrait for a specific date please let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate if possible.
The time-scale will only start from the date that we receive the deposit from you. This is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation for any reason. Deposits are payable via PayPal.
When we have completed the portrait we will email you a scanned copy for you to approve. This will be a chance for you to let us know if there are any amendments required. When you are completely happy with the portrait then the balance of the agreed price plus postage & packaging will be taken as your acceptance.
